By the way ... IO dictionaries  are weird ! They look more like "set" than "dict". There s no item:value... ???

WebAssembly is a great extension to modern browsers. There is a big potential in that technology. I only regret that it is forcing some higher level technologies such are stack use with function calls. It would be fine (I would simply not use those technologies) if they didn't disable the all mighty goto command. Imho, WebAssembly should stay as low level as it could, the most similar to amd64 assembler, as it can be. Programmers would find their way to implement this or that extension, this or that paradigm. Not all languages are based on function call stack and garbage collection (as I see they plan even that in future versions). Overall, they get 5 points out of 10 from me, just because of lack of goto command.

Nothing, really. All general purpose mainstream programming language are (pseudo) Turing-complete, which means they can compute everything, if they have enough space-time.

Differences are rather:
- some things are easier in one language, other things are easier in another
- porting to specific platforms can be easy/hard
- the ecosystems are different (ecosystem = libraries made by communities)
- communities have different "style" and size...

You code in Python? Python is good for AI. Good choice!

ok I get it.
Yes Python is the only language I know. I went to it because I saw roboticists in many forums going to it and being quite satisfied.  I love it as well. Thanks to it I saw very fast that I could do almost everything with a machine. I don't say I don't want to go further with other languages but at least for what I need now this is enough.

Are you into Python as well ?

General AI Discussion / Re: Theory of Everything

Theory of Everything makes sense if it involves theories that are not humans.
I actually had some strange thought that the Universe couldn't be explained by humans. Maybe logic that humans experience is not capable of explaining the Universe logic, but that's just maybe. I still have the other doors opened.

Pushing away alternatives like the way infurl did some lines above is desobeying to the first fundamental science rule : to be free to explain your point of view. I guess this is the hardest thing in a theory process.
I advice to be the difference you want to see around you. Things are not always milk and honey, but as for my concern, I'm trying not to push bad things further. I'd like to be surprised and to see an appropriate reaction from both sides, but maybe I'm asking too much. :-[

I subscribe to everything you said above. I would even complete this answer by saying that AI would be our ultimate tool to enter in contact with aliens. So in my opinion AI should a "mean" not an "end " to achieve fundamental universe theories.

I don't believe in humans to make theories about universe. We understand shit. The only way is to know is to enter in contact with those who really know : aliens.

I hate to be the bearer of bad news Thierry but I'm in regular contact with the aliens and they don't know shit either. At least I'll be celebrating Christmas in orbit around Saturn though.

Ok. Hate yourself then.
