The end of your links are not full (not in blue) but still work.

Yes keghn, I have in my AI the 3D-izer, CNNs, and GANs now.

@korrelan Why?

I have personally tried several approaches to creating an AGI, and although there is probably more than one method of creating an intelligent machine; the connectionist schema has (for me) produced the best results… it just ‘feels’ right.

Besides the fact that connectionism is my chosen approach there are a few other (mostly selfish) reasons.

A connectionist schema has the closest compatibility with the human mind; research in this field opens up/ improves knowledge regarding mind-machine interfaces for prosthetics/ human enhancement/ mental illnesses/ etc.

These start ups have resources and conduct research and studies.  Usually because they are corporate/ university backed and funding relies on results, they then publish their on going progress along with large data sets… I can always use data sets.

I’m obviously not a trained neuroscientist/ neurobiologist, I learn everything I need from other peoples endeavours.  I’m not proud, the more information generated in this field of research… the better for me; reading white papers etc is where I get most of my ideas.  I like to think my strengths lie in gleaning new/ unseen insights from the thousands of research studies I have read; together they have merged into a cohesive schema. (on the shoulders of giants and all that).

In 2020 when I win the Google AI X-Prize (ROFL) there will be a lot of established companies conversant with similar AGI techniques; willing to buy my company/ tech so I can finally retire and raise chickens.

And last but not least, they give me inspiration; the fact that so many start ups are choosing this schema gives me confidence that I'm on the right track; and inspiration is hard to come by at my age lol.

I couldn't agree more and if you're not a trained neuroscientist, then who is? It's your readiness to knuckle down and learn from the work of others that makes you so professional. No matter how clever the ideas we come up with, someone else has already thought of them too. Anyone who thinks otherwise hasn't done their research and they are starting out from a position of ignorance. A bit of humility and hard work is the best head start that anyone could wish for.

"if you're not a trained neuroscientist, then who is? It's your readiness to knuckle down and learn from the work of others that makes you so professional."

Check.

"A bit of humility and hard work is the best head start that anyone could wish for."

Check.

"No matter how clever the ideas we come up with, someone else has already thought of them too. Anyone who thinks otherwise hasn't done their research and they are starting out from a position of ignorance."

Not necessarily true. A rat on a pole eating mice with a small cup of fries and water poured on its ears from a sick little girl wearing 19 blue hats and throwing a spear down a huge mexican hole that a little boy made up with the help of the gods of zotac and friendly awesome smith unimax corn named John deer the 8th with turtle-neck lava pools COULD WORK. This is a unique solution.

A unique solution to what? How does this pertain to AI theory?

Complex imagination and the events that led to it.

Self-awreness is in there too somewhere...

infurl says in the 3rd sentence (reply #20) that you're a ignorant non-researcher if you think you have a clever idea that no one has ever had before.

I showed yous a clever idea that no one has ever thought of before.

See the picture?

You cannot say every idea or video-clip has been thought of or seen.

Miniature MJ on the bottom of the ocean with the smallest pot of flowers. And not just any flowers. Every step leaves a fire blaze of ice and coconut stars.

Infurl was referring to AI techniques, methods, schemas... Not general ideas.

O K

:)

4 AIs together with a expert system and a neural net that takes input and stored images and combines them with a constrast layer from a GAN and then saves them as normal but tagged as "New" and then every day grow one of these neural nets and attach it to the end and also with all of this you have to have a regulator that makes the system's energy a wave sign as to affect the way it functions. Connected to a database of exactly 9001 images of nesson cars. Also add images of trucks quick often.

Don't make me draw that, your'll be sorry!

Goodbye.
