Characters, avatars, A.I. people...they're getting much more realistic and soon, I feel, will be indistinguishable from real humans.

Perhaps they will have no emotional equivalent of hatred, violence, lust, greed, etc., until they really get to know us.  ;)

you might not believe me,   but ive been doing some sss and raytracing for a while now.  and the equation for the specular used in these skin demos was invented in 1979...  WAY BACK!!!  cook torrence specular was real all the way back then.

its rude to post a link myself,  but i used it for a fractal raytracing demo -> "watch?v=ks8MmfcO1H4&t=46s"  thats my work. with the DFG equation.  and it looks pretty real.

I was a little shocked myself when i got it going,  so this real cg has been in action for ages now,  even tho it doesnt seem like it...   but we grew up in the 90's and not aware of what came before.

this ai stuff gets easier and easier the longer your in the game, Im sure everyone does it pretty much the same way at a general point.
