Apparently some have dismissed the "theory" of The Uncanny Valley and have proceeded
with making lifelike humanoid creations.

I think the whole 'Uncanny Valley' idea is overplayed.  I think there are plenty of people who this theory simply doesn't affect.  Nice rule of thumb I suppose though.
