I've been using Dragon 9.5 pro with windows XP for quite a few years with Hal, I turn off the auto input to allow me to check the output then press enter to input it to Hal. It's very easy to use with the Hal program. I have quite a few documents I've dictated and saved which I input into dragon to process when I frist put Dragon into the computer, this cuts down on the training and increases the accuracy. Also helpful is a text containing frequently used words like Rt. 9, Elm Street, Best Buy, names of relatives, stores, streets ect.
I've ordered ver. 10 with a blue tooth mic to get me away from the wires, I use an audio filter between the mic and computer input that increases the S/N about 6 db and I'm hoping I can use it with the bluetooth mic.
I find it much more natural to speak with Hal using a voice rec program and of course the better the accuracy the easier it is to use.
