Thanks Art. It's as much about learning as anything. Making a game is on my list of things to do in this life.

I liked the music too and it was a great price, about £10 for 15 tracks. Seemed to fit in nicely and I have it on shuffle so you don't get tired of just one track.

I'm working on the menu next and have got the save game working okay. I just need to work on the UI. Then I think it's on to the interesting AI of enemy movement and battles.

  • At the end of the game, the King and Pawn go into the same box.

In my previous lifetime, I programmed a rudimentary hunt and chase game where the player was exploring a particular area when suddenly killer robots would start to hunt him down. I found that by changing a few of the variables in the bots search / track routine, each type of bot could / would exhibit a different style of hunting (some faster, diagonal , "L" shaped, straight for 3 or 4 units then up 1 or down 1 then continue...and so on.

It was crude back then but added to the different bot's ability to "hunt".
Just a thought.
 ;)

@Freddy "Thanksgiving". You in the USA too?

I am working on my science paper of Human psychology. And some touch up and optimizing some of my theories.

No, I'm in the UK.

I'm looking for bargain upgrades in the sales myself.

I thought it was okay.

You'd need a lot of those though. Have you seen OpenCyc Locksuit ?

Well while I can't seem to download it or read anything explaining it (which is odd for a open-source-super-organized-knowledge-database-of-commonsense), I did find a youtube video showing colored connected network of (strange) data like Sunflower Software and Agent activity and other names which is quite stupid (should be knowledge of ex. hairdryers to money to life to jobs to sex to tools to atoms).

If you ever read my database, you will find in the top that I mention at the bottom of section 1 a database as a linked brain (as a AI adding to the base as lives), while noting it also is nice to have it as a numbered hierarchy as is too and not as a living AI.

Happy New Year chaps

The world "might" be falling apart but Dreams will live for ever.

Here's hoping for a 2017 that is bearable to most of us :)
