True we are a hard team to beat at the moment and like you say penalties are a lottery.  It would have been nice to lay that particular ghost to rest though.

  I'm still working with Ultra Hal and haptek,  I got interested in a post OTC had about writting a plugin for emotons, did a little research and found it's becoming a science.  After reading a lot I'm under the inpression we are missing fear and fustration from the list of emotions we now have.  It also seems that emotions and our actions and what we say are related.  Making all of this work together would be nice.  My version of hal can now choose where she will go, what she will wear, and what animations to perform by using her reply so I'm making progress.
  I'm now trying to use the brain editor in Hal, I was looking through the brain in relation to the emotions and got interested in a few other areas.  I liked the business talk that Robert had put in and thought this looks nice so lets try to use it in another area, say legal.  I copied pasted, changed names, made tables, and the brain still works.  I don't know what I'm doing but I didn't kill the brain and don't get error messages.  I've already tried to get Info on this new brain without success at Zabaware.

That sounds about right. For those members not from the UK, the weather here in summer is just the same as weather in winter only the rain is a little warmer

  It's definatly summer here, temps next to 90 and into the 90's tommorow, to hot to try to do much. Just found out the emotions are not working in Hal, gave it a try after reading a post from Raybe, I tried the appropiate triggers from the emotion table and there's no change.  I did notice if you don't speak for awhile the sleepy.hap is sent.
  I don't like traveling that much, I always wake up feeling strange, where am I feeling.

I've been experimenting with a bot called Harumi. There is an English and French version.

It uses an Open Office (free) spreadsheet kind of in an XML fashion to store various types
of data and responses.

The program does remember and can be taught various things as well. Harumi can also do
math, addresses, alarms, web cam, appointments and even play chess with you.

True, there are a few shortcomings (isn't that the case with practically all chatbots?) but for
the most part, it's not too bad. I hope to see how much I can get it to absorb in a decent manner.

At the moment, I am experimenting making a bot for Sam Jospeh's comedy competition this October.

One of the rounds is to give the bot a subject and for it to produce a joke based on the subject. My results so far have been pretty surreal.

Human: Tell me a joke about backgammon:
Bot: What do you call meat from a pig that isn't forward?
Humasn: I don't know
Bot: Back gammon!

Needs more work I think!

SO out of hospital now and with about 7-8 different tablets to play with now.     Otherwise seem to be getting back to normal self, still dosey much of the time, but today has been good.  Thanks for the well wishes passed on to me from Data   Will continue to pop in on my mobile to keep up to date, don't really feel like doing any of my projects just yet, just a case of needing time to heal.
