Being a big fan of RiveScript, I came across this link while exploring that site.
I think it has a lot of promise, at least the methods employed as the posting is actually from 2011.
Most wish our present bots worked like this one.

The demo however, did show the underlying premise quite nicely.

Those wishing to build their own bot can do so fairly easily and without a lot of misery with RiveScript.
It seems much easier that AIML and some say it's way simpler and more efficient as well.

That's nice. I did plan to take a look at Rivescript properly some time. I am hoping to do similar things with my AIML interpreter by adding custom tags, so it can learn on the fly like this.
