Finally Decided to Stop Lurking
« on: March 18, 2015, 08:06:57 AM »
Hey everyone!

So I finally decided to register here. I've visited these forums for quite some time over the years.  I've been a long time Ultra Hal user and I recognize a lot of people from the zabaware forums.

Although I still love using Ultra Hal, I have started to look beyond it for something that offers the fun of training via conversations but also allows me to create my own avatars.  Many of the things that made Hal so great have pretty much died or are in purgatory it seems. It's disappointing to see it happens but life has other plans for people I guess.

Anyways, I'm looking forward to chatting it up with everyone here. A lot of great guys and gals(?) here.

Hi Calhoone I remember you from Zabaware  :)

I was still visiting there and still do some days, but I agree it's got a bit slow. Of course I can understand that Rob has a full time job to do now elsewhere, but I did see he is still working on things - it just takes longer now. Good luck to him though, I think we will still see something cool there again one day.

Welcome aboard :)

Hey Calhoone! Good to see you made it through Customs! ;)

It's all good here and so are the people (for the most part)...the rowdy ones are usually kept in the dungeon to cool off a bit!
Most topics are A.I. related but certainly not limited to it. I'm sure you're well aware of the available selections. Check through the Chatterbot (Chatbot) Collection! I've found quite a few interesting ones in there!

Nice to have you with us and don't be a stranger. Post any AI, Robot, Sci-Fi related Films, Books, ebooks, thoughts or projects you might like. There's no wrong answers! Heh!

Enjoy! O0

Welcome aboard, matey! Always happy to see fresh faces - forums like these deserve a much more lively discussion and community.

As for the gals, the only one I have spoken to (without being honored with a reply) is Tyler, but I hope that won't draw you away!
Time... Doesn't seem so constant when you think about it, does it?

May I ask your opinion on lurking?  What was it that made you start lurking?

If we knew that, then maybe we could do more of it, to attract more lurkers.

My idea of lurking is coming to the site for years without registering and reading almost every post here. I've replied to many of them in my head. Just been hiding in the shadows.

Anyways. I'm glad I finally registered. Its a lot easier to share ideas and get answers to questions as well as find motivation for projects when you have a community of like minded people.

I can show you the spits I was lurking from. Maybe we can surprise the other lurkers and drag them in! Ambush!!
