Yet another hello world
« on: August 19, 2015, 05:21:29 PM »
Hi,

I'm 0JL. I forgot my password, so I created a new avatar.

I prefer my new nickname "Zero", I hope you won't mind the skin-change?

When I was 10 years old, I tried to make a chatbot on my AMSTRAD CPC464. Now I'm 37. And I'm dad, for a few weeks!!! I still wanna make chatbots  :idiot2:

welcome my friend, i like how you type.

BEST TIP->
you can advance a markov chain's gibberish attention span by giving it interchangable phrases to extend its chain life.
A bit from here, a bit from there, and bring it together and see the whole picture.

Welcome back :)

My first experience was with a twenty questions program that learnt new things. All on the humble ZX Spectrum back in the 80s.

It's a fascinating thing and there are some great problems to think about solving.

Yes, I remember being disappointed because I couldn't use "EDIT 30" from inside the program... What a furious kid, already trying to write some self-modifying BASIC code!

I think mine was done with arrays, so long ago I forget now.

Forgot to say congratulations on becoming a Dad  :)

Welcome back and congrats!!

Yep, you started it with a Blank Slate brain and yet it has already begun to "self-modify".
Who knows what it will become!  O0

In the world of AI, it's the thought that counts!
