Daniel Springwald has recently released a beta-version of the GaitoBot AIML Editor for XP. In addition to an attractive and intuitive interface, it also features an AIML checker to detect shadowed categories and other common AIML coding errors. For the most part I haven't found a satisfactory desktop editor, and when away from Pandorabots I usually use notepad to write AIML, but this application looks like it will be worth giving a try.
