ATROPA

This Sci-Fi Short Film is really nicely done. The viewer can easily get drawn into the story at first.

You will get Startled at some point in this film (video) but there is a reason.
The challenge is to figure out what has happened and why?

It has the potential to be a much larger production in my opinion.

Appreciate your thoughts as well....

20 seconds in… the music reminds me of Aliens.

Cool… rugged ship designs.

I hope the ports on the forward facing surface of the engine nacelles are cannons.

Why do I recognise ‘valley forge’?

Valley Forge was the military camp 18 miles northwest of Philadelphia where the American Continental Army spent the winter of 1777–78 during the American Revolutionary War.

Very dark and dystopic… I like it. (Blade Runner/ Aliens)

Woah! Time travel… alternate existence… other ships trajectory was opposite to their trajectory (front end collision) so… time reversal (return journey)?

Yeah! Deffo! Need more.

I don't know how old you might be, but in 1972 there was a Classic, Sci-Fi, post-apocalyptic space movie named, Silent Running with Bruce Dern. He was one of four crewmen aboard the spaceship along with 3 Service Droids named, Huey, Louie and Dewey tasked with taking care of the contents of three geodesic domes.

The name of their spaceship was...the Valley Forge.

and now you know....
(yeah I'm that old).hehe....

@Art

Of course… I should have remembered ‘Valley Forge’ from Silent Running. I haven’t watched it for many years, though I did catch ‘Dark Star’ lol the other day. Deffo some of the best films from my youth.

I think I'm due a nostalgic film viewing weekend.

Agreed and yes, a lot of those older Sci-Fi films were way ahead of their time! There is still so much that can be gleaned from watching them...things that were missed during the previous viewings.

I was even thinking of adding the (Extremely Dated) movie, Metropolis, to my DVD collection!

Wow I had forgotten about that film. I remember it from years back, it was a cracking movie. Thanks for reminding me, I might see if I can dig up a copy somewhere.
