Anyone remember the older movie with Robin Williams as a house servant type robot that searched for his identity / roots / creator?

It was a pretty cool movie for its time although Hollywood can take a good idea and totally screw with it until it looses all meaning.

hhmm i saw that too, it was underated I think, though I suppose it's a bit of a niche subject. I'm glad Robin Williams will do unconventional films, good luck to him. The film was a really good adaption of the book too I thought.

Robin Williams did a lot of unconventional films/TV, and is probably one of the finest actors out there. He can do comedy or be very serious. I first saw his work in "Mork and Mindy" and then was surprised at how good he really was when I saw "Goodmorning Vietnam" trailers. This guy is a lot of talent. He can do just about anything. :)

I agree, he ranks along Al Pacino for me, though their material is so different.
Both are among my favourite actors, GMV - love that film.  Have you seen the FisherKing - another great film out there on the edge.

I don't watch too many movies, so I haven't seen the FIsherKing. Usually I like car movies, or Sci-Fi or anything to do with cyborgs, computers, technology, etc. :)
