Title: Black Mirror
Post by: Art on March 16, 2020, 12:09:08 am
This is a NetFlix production as far as I know.

It consists of many stand alone (unconnected) episodes. Each showing us a bit of ourselves and how technology has impacted and altered our world around us.

Some of my favorites so far, are in Series 4 (2017) Series (episodes) 1-6
Here is my list:
#1 Uss Calister - Being a Mock Star Trek but a bit different.
#2 Arkangel - Tracking your child in a different way.
#3 Crocodile - Own up to your actions (or not).
#4 Hang the DJ - A different take regarding (Not online) dating.
#5 Metalhead - A very practical use of a work-alike of Boston Dynamic's "Spot Mini". Can you say "Swarm" or "Hive"? I thought you could...
#6 Black Museum - Not all is as it seems when it comes to the mind...

I really liked the majority of these and each has their own story to tell and some easier to take than others. So reminiscent of the Twilight Zone...but on steroids!

NetFlix is still one of the best Bangs for the Buck compared to going to the theater (re) and paying an exorbitant fee for entry and concessions! Worth every penny and score of movies to view at your leisure. You can freeze frame and go to your fridge for a snack! Here in the USA it's about $13 per month. Yours might differ.

I've never used NetFlix and the only good thing I know about it is their servers run on FreeBSD.

There is a site called All The Streams (https://allthestreams.fm/) where you can stream shows of their choice from NetFlix, HULU, Disney, and other paid movie channels at no charge. You can even stream Pirate Radio for free, as if that were not the Pirate Way.

HULU was free to join when it first debuted. I was a member there and many a movie site considered a safe port in the storm that catered to Old Salts. Most of which now rest restlessly relegated by regulations to Davey Jones Locker and a watery grave.

Fire all cannons!
