Hex was written by Rhiannon Lassiter (London) when she was but 17 years old.
The book tells about human computers that, in the future, become too dangerous
to live. Suspensful and engaging!

Talking of tracking books down, I read a book over 15 years ago where humans were being farmed by futuristic machines, the bodies were collected in great fields, where they were regularly harvested and used for fuel and energy.  I wish I could remember the name of it, as the plot reminds me a lot of the matrix.  It might have been something like one of the Weird Tales series but I am lost.  I doubt it very much, but does this ring a bell with anyone, because I'd like to find it and see how similar it really was to the Matrix.

If you go to www.amazon.com then click on Books, enter the word Hex,
you'll find it there for the whopping price of $.66 USD. That's 66 cents.

Although it is recommended as a youth series book the author has
shown a very nice story line (plot), good character interaction and
holds the readers attention.
