Title: I Am Mother
Post by: Art on June 09, 2019, 01:43:30 am
This is a very nicely done topical film, exploring morals and ethics of embracing digital beings and extending our human lives in the pursuit of perfection.

A teenage girl is raised underground by a kindly robot "Mother" -- designed to repopulate the earth following the extinction of humankind. But their unique bond is threatened when an inexplicable stranger arrives with alarming news.

It can also be seen on Netflix.

This sounded almost like the plot of The Search for WondLA, so I wondered if this was a film adaptation -- but I watched the trailer and no, this one's totally different (and looks interesting in its own way).
But now that I'm on the topic, The Search for WondLA is a great book featuring a mother-robot.

I just saw it on NetFlix, and I recommend it.
It is really quite watchable, as an A.I. movie.
The writing is good (and not predictableJ).
The entire cast gave a great performance.
And, the special effects are good quality.
