Freddy,

I don't quite know what to think about this one just yet. It has been a long time since the first episode of "The Cage" appeared.

It will be interesting to see how the cast/crew and ship have evolved.

Nice find!
In the world of AI, it's the thought that counts!

The new star trek looks more like star wars than star trek. Then, the movie doesn't follow the traditional Star trek timeline. In the kerk era, the enterprise is being built into space and not on earth. Only the final star trek tv series (Voyager) humanity has the technology to control gravity. Its impossible to lunch a spaceship in the size of Enterprise into outer space from the surface of the planet if you don't have such technology!

But nevertheless, its an attempt to move the whole Brand forward again, which is a good thing. If the movie will do good in the theaters they will more new TV series, new movies and so on. If not, Star trek will die for over. I think we all need star trek (not just for entertainiment) and we should all go and watch the movie at least 3 times.

I think I will probably go see it, it does seem a little misplaced though I admit.  Apparently this is an alternate universe I read, that old trick.  Still it looks entertaining, not sure if I will like the younger Kirk though.
