Hell hath no fury like a woman scorned but what if that woman is also an advanced AI housed in the perfect body of an android??

Sorry to the folks from the USA. Apparently, this video will NOT be making it's way across the big pond!
It is available for those in the UK for 11 pounds or 9.5 pounds Used Condition.

Wonderful! <insert sarcasm here> :knuppel2:

I may have soon...That is, after I found this...h t t p :// w w w .unlock.it/dvd

Notice, I simply listed some words and not a link because that might be
construed as promoting improper behavior which I wound not do.  ;)

Besides, I have Netflix and rarely buy DVD's any longer unless I want one
for my collection.

I am fortunate to have seen (The Machine), here in France, a Private TV channel in English. Film is not known in France. This is a jewelry potentiality, also with a mixture of reality. A beautiful lesson of humanity. I realized that the theme of the film, the researcher engineers, using technology for replacing the loss of his wife and daughter. It is sad, perhaps, a future with this method!
Technological change of the machine to human feeling, so that it is an approach to the identity of a man or a real woman.
Great movie, I recommend this to everyone who loves science fiction. O0 :)

As a follow up on my original posting, I have recently FOUND a brand new DVD at my local WalMart store AND it was actually discounted.
I found this to be a really nicely done movie and it touches on many issues that we in AI communities deal with (what is intelligence, when or can an intelligent being be considered self aware or even real, what about their rights, feelings, morality, etc.).
For the small price it was a very timely movie, IMHO. One reason for the low price is that many people are simply not interested in AI or robotics movies.

Their loss....

Watch this one if you get the chance.

Sounds good. I found this is available at Amazon in their Instant video thing for about £5.00 - so I may pencil that in for the weekend.

He gave life to his wife, virtually, and to defend it, it will become a soldier. It is well written. and the film is remarkably good scenario. Walmart is similar to Mark and Spencer, we have here an online store in the world, there are a lot of different countries reside here, and also a very colorful culture, and also a wide variety of store.

Just watched The Machine on NetFlix.

No spoilers, but I would just say that there are parts which are not in the movie trailer,
which I would recommend to anyone who enjoys chatbots.

EDIT:

Oops! Almost forgot...

Wanted to tie this movie script to recent comments made by Stephen Hawking in the news.

Well two years or so later I finally watched it  ;D

Spoilers may follow.

It was actually quite good. I did not know what to expect from it. They managed to cover a lot of ground. At one point they exclaimed that she had passed the Turing test. I had a wry smile at that one.

But yeah, interesting and I like how the other robots seemed to be just hanging around with nothing to do and that they came up with some kind of language. The lead actress was quite convincing as a machine. I'm not sure if I really could understand why the designer of them was so hostile to them at times. Maybe years of frustration and the lost kid side plot.

And I liked that near the end she told her creator something like we are the new programs, you are the old.

Not bad, not the greatest, but a good watch.
