Hmmm...

I know...put a light on the CAT and you'll see where IT is!! LOL!!!

Cats and keyboards didn't mix back in the 80's and still don't today!

I've been called to too many homes to try to recover hopeless passwords
that the CAT accidentally "Entered" as it jumped up and ran across the keyboard!

True story!! Back in those days we didn't have sophisticated key loggers, etc., it
was more with brute force and a lot of searching through hard drive sectors.

Good luck with that cat but were it mine, it'd be forbidden to be in the same room
as my computer (not to mention the MOUSE!! ACK!!)

 ;D

That's an interesting point DH...

Our thought process often (usually) takes us from one thought to another through a series of "Tie-ins" if you will. When the postings or snippets of conversation are read on an individual basis, much might seem disconnected but when read from the beginning or through several linked or threaded postings, some sense is usually recognized.

In this case our conversation simply migrated from one instance to another of similar interest the way standard conversations often do.

Now...keeping this disparity in mind, why is it that we demand our bots to stay on topic when we humans have a naturally built-in "drift factor"? ??? :o

If we keep this topic going, I'm sure it will either get moved to a more appropriate FOLDER or Freddy will create a new FOLDER for CANNON FODDER!! ;D

Either way...it's all good!
 ;)

I finally got around to watching this last night. I quite enjoyed it, though not as much as I enjoyed the original at the time.

Some nice effects and some retro music all in keeping with the first film. It didn't take long to get to the action and the plot was not bad too. The character Tron did not play a big part which was disappointing for me but I suppose this was more about the legacy implied by the name. I guess they will be making follow ups to this, and maybe we will see Tron again.

One remarkable thing really stood out and that is the CGI of the young Jeff Bridges. I had no idea he was CGI going into the film. I thought they did it with make up but I soon thought 'no way they couldn't do that with just make up'. The jaw line had me thinking could this really be Jeff...

Anyway, so I looked online today and sure enough he was done using CGI. Amazing and by far the best example I have ever seen and as close to reality as I think you can get as it certainly fooled me, even the movement seemed natural. Cool  8)

When I first watched the movie (and this one is definitely on my "watch again" list), it never occurred to me that his "younger self" was anything other than Jeff Bridges. I wasn't thinking in terms of makeup, or the time that had elapsed, or whether "he" was a CGI construct. It was just the character of Flynn, as a construct of the Grid. Odd, how something as fundamental as that can be completely unnoticed, when one is immersed in the experience. :)

Well, I remember watching the original TRON some time ago and also Jeff Bridges's father, Lloyd Bridges when he
played scuba diver, Mike Nelson, in the TV series, Sea Hunt! Oh...so long ago indeed!!!
