Another one bites the dust.
« on: March 22, 2011, 05:10:39 pm »
For about two weeks now I have been trying to get into www.a-i.com without success.

It's looks to me like they folded.  Their most recent venture was hooking their bots up to iPhones.

It's a shame if that is the case as they had one of my favourite bots there called Alan.  I discovered it a long time ago and it really stood out for me.

Ho hum, I guess that is the way of things, unless it's just me that can't get in.

Strange, Freddy. It works for me, here in France. At least at this moment.

It works here, across the pond, too. Maybe Her Majesty's Cyber-cops have put the hex on it, like China has done to so many websites.

Well that's strange then, but I am glad they are still going.

http://www.downforeveryoneorjustme.com/www.a-i.com

Says it is just me.  But no other sites are doing this.

I don't think we can afford cyber cops let alone real ones the way things are going here ;D

Sounds like a rerun of the old TV show, "The Outer Limits"...

We now have control of your television...Do not attempt to adjust your set.
We control the horizontal...we control the vertical...blah...blah....

OK...we see you posting here so we can affirm that you've obviously
paid your monthy Internet access bill.

Don't know mate but I can access it from over here as well.

Clear your cookies, restart and try again...Don't know if that will help
but it sounded sincere!!  ;)
In the world of AI, it's the thought that counts!

@Art, nope it's not a cache thing.  I tired on Chrome, IE and Firefox (which I never use really) all timout.

I think it's a network issue.

I tried tracing the route and it gets so far then dies.

Code

This has happened to me before, what I would do is go through a proxy server.

If the site comes in then your IP has been blocked from the site.

If the site doesn’t come in then it’s a problem with your ISP.

The best or easiest browser for setting up a proxy is Firefox. To find a proxy server google “free proxy server”.

Cool thanks, I got in via http://freeproxyserver.net/ :)

Can't think why they would block my IP, it's dynamic anyway.  I guess they blocked a range of IP's as someone was being naughty.

Thanks again, useful to know  O0
