Australia’s first fully automated farm
« on: May 27, 2021, 10:16:37 am »

The farm will use robotic tractors, harvesters, survey equipment and drones, artificial intelligence that will handle sowing, dressing and harvesting, new sensors to measure plants, soils and animals and carbon management tools to minimise the carbon footprint.

The farm is already operated commercially and grows a range of broadacre crops, including wheat, canola, and barley, as well as a vineyard, cattle and sheep.

This is a part of something I've been dreaming of since my twenties. I imagined automated robotic system that takes seeds, plant them to the field, waters them, do the harvest, process it to make, say, bread, and distribute the bread over city stores for people to pick it up for a free lunch. Who'd say, dreams eventually may come true. At least technical parts.
There exist some rules interwoven within this world. As much as it is a blessing, so much it is a curse.
