Dyson vacuums enter robotic age with 360 Eye and a smartphone app
4 September 2014, 12:00 am

It has taken 16 years but James Dyson has achieved one of his dreams: to build a robotic vacuum cleaner. As befits a device of the modern age, it can be controlled remotely via a smartphone app - and reports on where it has been. The Guardian - Technology (UK)Link.

That's a lot of BS. The Neat-O floor cleaning robot has been using a laser to map entire rooms for years and has a lot more suction power than most. This vacuum, unlike most others, does NOT find it's way around by bumping into them but rather navigates around items. It knows where it is, recharges itself then returns to where it left off to continue. It can also be scheduled to vacuum via it's onboard menu.
Oh yeah...it doesn't cost 700 pounds...about $350 - $400 USD.

Go figure....

Just another view O0

Hehe!...good one and in your example yes and no. I just don't need my vacuum to email me and show me that it has inadvertently sucked the drapes off their rods or hooks, displaying utter wreakage and carnage everywhere. I'd much rather wait for the surprise when I get home and open the front door!
Then there would be pieces of a Die-son beside the curb next to the rubbish cans!

Suck...indeed!! Harumph!!  :knuppel2:
