Viv is what Siri was originally supposed to be when it was still in military development. On one hand its workings are very interesting and could be just what we want from our robot slaves, on the other hand it comes close to the stuff sci-fi scenarios are made of.

Simply by speaking, you will connect to what they are calling “a global brain.” And that brain can help power a million different apps and devices.

Give me a flight to Dallas with a seat that Shaq could fit in.

Or: "Generate a holographic opponent in the style of Sherlock Holmes that could defeat Data." 

I'm curious to see how they will keep its interaction with misinterpretable human language under control. Would it be booking flights if you ask it for background information for a holiday you've yet to consider, or might it decide to call the police or your wife if you told it "I'm drunk." rather than call a cab? While AI are still prone to misunderstand, is it wise to give them greater power? Especially if we're going to use them while we're drunk.
I suspect we'll see a return of the "Are you sure you want to do this?" button.
