It might not be a hoax,  but I think they mean something more realistic when they say "sentience"   Its not meaning consciousness I'd say.

I don't have any issues with household robot pals, but what they describe is really a collection of five online services lumped together in a robot, that are not related to "sentience" of course. It sounds like they mean to take locale and schedules into account as "common sense", as do Google Home and such. It's something that one might call "situational awareness", but that's pushing it a bit since it's likely to be tied into very specific services in rather limited ways.
