True, but I was thinking more along the lines of building your own Integrated chip but using optics. I ran into this Quora thread . Effectively you could use 1970s approaches to IC manufacturing with off-the-shelf tools. They're pretty much-printed circuit boards on silica, and you can make them pretty small but nowhere near what is done today in a chip fab.

When I see that, it makes me want to build some sort of cryo freezing device to store my body in the coldest temp ever, or just like jump into it or make god out of it. I like the idea of large scale extreme experiments.

Here's a way to entangle electrons and not have to use an optical chip, which was what I mentioned in an earlier post.

Of course, entanglement on demand could get pretty interesting: Imagine being able to entangle your entire body with say an entangled maser. The other end of this arrangement is a block of super cold methane. The block of methane is a quantum computer designed to interpret the state changes in your body into code that stores that info. Not only that but the quantum computer also is running a simulation of the real world by collecting information in real-time, so your emulated self and you both are experiencing life simultaneously and both the simulated mind and the real mind are interacting with each other, they are effectively one mind!

Now...what happens if you die? The simulated you continues even though your physical body no longer functions, you continue in the simulated world just as if you were in the real world. If you died while sleeping you'd never know that you died, you just wake up and continue your life as if nothing happened. If you were dying while fully awake you'd have the experience of dying but you didn't. In the simulated world, you eventually recover from your injuries or escape your situation. In either case, you never really become cognizant of dying... :o

1950's style could still be cool.   it takes 10,000 gates, for a 10,000 gate asic.    thats just 100x100 chips,  that needent be over miniaturized anyway, but still has to be pretty tiny work the same, to fit on say a 30cm x 30cm plate.
10,000 gates is enough to put a physics engine in there, believe me or not.

I can't believe they did this! Here's another article that explains EPR in more detail.

Immortality can be achieved by applying quantum entanglement to our brains, but it doesn't have to be just our brains but our entire body can be entangled just like the tardigrades in the article. Imagine cloning yourself and then entangling your clone with you, the two bodies become one. Of course, you'd have to apply some updating scheme to build your memories into the cloned brain, but after that, the two are one person effectively.

On another note; I had a strange dream again. This time it had to do with dolphins and aliens. You see with entanglement an alien could monitor every form of life on this planet. Given that dolphins have a high degree of encephalization, and a language, and are highly sociable animals. Because dolphins will never develop any kind of tool-based technology the monitoring of dolphins by aliens doesn't have the same security protocols as with humans. Imagine if you could willfully link up your brain to the alien quantum entangled network, or the "Qunet", and gain access to the stores of knowledge, how that would affect human technological development? For that reason, humans aren't allowed to access the "Qunet". But dolphins can! Now, obviously, the language of the aliens is incomprehensible to humans let alone to dolphins, but the AI of the aliens is super user-friendly and teaches the dolphins how to use and understand the Qunet with their brains! Dolphins literally have a better understanding than humans do of the cosmos, thanks to aliens! The dream went on into immersing myself into the dolphin perspective, where all those clicks and whistles as dolphins communicate actually translate into emotional qualia that humans can relate to, Inclusive of humor!

In the dream, aliens state that because humanity is entangled so as to monitor human existence, they claim we transition into the Qunet after we die. They stated it's how they make contact and not interfere with our development. Aliens want to know if humanity survives its technological adolances, its an important question for them...
