Good! 20 years is long enough for any browser! Time for an upgrade!

And NO...it's not NEW & IMPROVED!! Nothing ever is!!

Something is either NEW or else it is IMPROVED! It can't be both at the same time!

The sales industry is largely responsible for this misnomer!

This has been a Public Service Announcement by the ...non-media...people who wish to remain...not in the media....

Spartan is a separate browser they are developing.

It's funny how this coincides with my recent post about ending support for IE.

We know you have friends in low places, Freddy!! ;)

Microsoft sort of reminds me a lot of Radio Shack...Too Little...Too Late!

They always get in a BIG hurry to push an idea onto the public, that's already had plenty of public exposure!
Computers were already out...Radio Shack decided to sell computers! Imagine that! Then there were all kinds of phones, then there were cell phones and then...you get the picture.

SO their Big Brother counterpart is going to Offer a digital assistant with Windows 10, Cortana!! Like we already haven't been exposed to DA's! Then a NEW browser!! Uhh...don't look too deeply but a lot of us have already been using either Firefox or Chrome for quite some time.

Your new entries are really going to have to Sparkle and Brightly too!!!

(I know...next they'll start rolling out wireless home automation devices!! - that have already been around for the past 10 years!)...who's in charge of their research anyhow?

Theres only one thing they need to do,  and ill add it back to my firefox and chrome,  get serious and remove the stupid advert home page,  BING!
Thats also why I stopped using yahoo,  i didnt really care about google at all, i liked rebelling against the tide,  but when yahoo turned more into a tv set i decided nah stuff this, i cant stand this spip.  so then i went googling at the screen instead ever after, with a nice advert free search page beginning.

Its just loppy adverts,  i thought my computer was interactive,  but its all turned into mup i cant control, like a godarn virus.

Yes that sums it all up for me too. But I do hope they can do something special with Spartan. Generally I like MS products, Windows 8 aside. Like the Visual Studio for example.

Too many adverts for me too. And all those stories about how some unknown celebrity had shocking plastic surgery and their ilk. Enough already !

Funny but the definition of Spartan = resolute in the face of pain, danger or adversity. Practicing a great self-denial.

So...are they referring to the face of pain being Apple? Google / Android? Linux? (hardly). The fact that they are galloping full speed ahead only to find out that the battle has already been fought and a winner decided?

While we don't yet know for sure, I certainly hope non of this rings true after the dust settles.

Close connections within Microsoft have admitted that their main drive and motivation is no longer existent so they had to call of the project.

Anyhow, I agree that Bing should basically, GTFO... But I highly doubt they will get rid of it as (if I am not mistaken) it is their product are at least have a deal with the company.
Software and Hardware developer, and everything in between.

Since Windows is basically going to include Cortana, which is powered by Bing, therefore Bing can quietly move to the back of the bus and remain pretty much out of sight. (and out of mind). Besides, it's practically 6 years old as it is which makes me wonder just how much Bing has been brought up to speed if Cortana is going to use it as her "backstage" platform?

Time will tell.
