NEWS ITEM
NY Times.

...On Thursday, it was reported that Google, the leading search engine, is resisting a Justice Department subpoena seeking millions of its users' search records, and we can all be glad Google chose to stand its ground....

Not to mention it's an invasion of privacy on the part of government, and we have enough of that already.
The particular incident you are referring to is part of a certain polticians private little war on pornography
and his attempts to have the sellers of it shut down and users punished and or prosecuted in order to
justify his other little war and subsequent invasions of privacy. Who is he or any politico to dictate whether
or not a man or woman of legal age should be allowed to view images of consenting adults of legal age
posing in the nude, or for that matter dictate who we may or may not communicate with. Next thing you
know (if it is permitted to continue) they will be trying to shut down sites like this one simply on the basis
that its members are of varied nationality and reside in countries other than the U.S.   It's like the recent
case of GOOGLE giving in to government censorship of available content & information in China.                          :zdg_angry3
Sorry, but I do get carried away when it comes to things of this nature.
