Would "aggregation and regurgitation" be a good way to describe ChatGPT?

Well ... that might give the impression that it's just gathering material and repeating it verbatim. I'd favor terms like "remixing" or "interpolation."

This is the best article that I've seen about any of this and it includes a lot of useful and practical advise about how to use the new technology. Things are happening so fast now that it will probably be out of date by the week after next though. One thing that is surprising to me, while nobody familiar with it is calling it AGI or sentient, something genuinely new does seem to have emerged when you build large language models on this scale.

I was reading that at the moment, it is trained on data a couple of years old - it has caused some problems with people researching things like breast cancer - where the current methods are more up-to-date than anything ChatGPT provides. Which could be potentially dangerous.

When asked about stamps (I'm a collector), the information is very poor and inaccurate.

It is much better at fiction, and I used it to give me some ideas for a gamebook I am writing. I won't use it verbatim, but it's good at throwing out ideas you might not have thought of.

So yeah, just for fun and a little inspiration, I think, so far.

The API for ChatGPT (and a speech to text model called Whisper) is now available at: https://openai.com/blog/introducing-chatgpt-and-whisper-apis
I added it into Kuki to help when she doesn't have a suitable response and I'm very impressed, especially as it's 10 times cheaper than the davinci model. It seems a lot faster than the ChatGPT website too.

Please go on about adding ChatGPT to Kuki.  Will that be, or has it been standardized?
