Unbreakable: A Robot That Can't Be Stopped
27 May 2015, 12:00 am

It almost looks like a wounded animal. There's that little hop in its gait, the way it looks tentative as it springs forward from its haunches, the not-exactly-straight trajectory of its path.

This title alone gives robots and robot research a bad name insinuating the autonomous, monster robot that will go on an unstoppable rampage!
A better title might a clever, adaptable robot program. But then, it wouldn't draw a crowd! :-\
In the world of AI, it's the thought that counts!

Yep, the actual project is so ordinary that the title needs to be a complete lie.
CO2 retains heat. More CO2 in the air = hotter climate.

No way!  This little monstrosity is from Jeff Clune!  Its actually good, Hes been putting tonnes of effort into digital evolution,   the little 'hop' is actually the creature leaving the ground momentarily,  its cool. :)
Thats a kinect on its body, skipping a little ahead of the initial computer vision stage, so he can know how far hes moved, and basic obstacle avoidance.

theres a better video than this one of his little robot developing a novelty pathway - as well as walking,  which is good.  but this is all i could find.
