Festo has released videos of two new robots, both extremely impressive in different ways. One is an ornithopter with feathers which achieves new levels of grace and efficiency. The other is a disembodied arm and hand that travels around on a rolling ball. It demonstrates extraordinary strength for its size and is more like a real human hand than anything I've seen before. Which reminds me...While I've focused on an NLP AI, I have also wanted to make a poopbot! Yes, poop for dog owners is a major burden and if a robot could do it that would make life much easier. One of my problems though, since I have artificial turf in my backyard that has its own special issues. Just sucking it up is problematic, but if it gets hard it sticks to the artificial turf, yuk! Even with those special pooper scoopers its a challenge to collect the material.

Anyone have any ideas, and if you do, patent them, you'll be a billionaire!
