Do YOU pass as a human? Facebook develops quiz to sort robots from people - and it's surprisingly hard

Our ability to answer questions currently separates us from machines in the world of artificial intelligence. But researchers are working on algorithms to give computers this skill too.

As I've mentioned in the past, there used to be a program that invited the user to Prove that he / she was a human and not a machine.

The user had to answer a series of questions posed by the computer. It sounds like it might have been easy, but trust me, it was anything but!

I ran the program on several occasions and one really had to be creative in order to try to convince the computer that one was not a computer but a real person.

The program was called, Mr. Mind. I don't think it's around any longer but it was a blast back in the day.
In the world of AI, it's the thought that counts!

Im not impressed with those questions,  in the end the computer is better at long lists of boring simplicity.

What you need to do (which was discussed in the athena project),  is talk in slang,  because the computer is stuck with double outputs on an input.  But maybe thatll confuse just as many humans as computers.

I actually am of the opinion the problem is stuffed and captchas cant last forever, because of the fact its a machine on the other side validating the answers, making it a machine only having to beat a machine.   That spells total doom, when malware idiots get ahold of a decent webcrawling autofireing spam ai system.

From an AI builder's perspective, I thought some of these questions were pretty good and hard to program. Some of them do in fact address state-of-the-art AI problems like ambiguity, although as a human you might not realise how hard that is.
CO2 retains heat. More CO2 in the air = hotter climate.
