Ages ago members were asking for a chat room so I've now added one to the 'Other Areas' menu.
You can either use it on the page it appears on or open it in it's own window so you can still surf freely.
Please let me know if there are any problems with it working.

i love the chat room idea what do i have to do to make it work on my computer all i get is any empty box with and x in the corner. >:(

I clicked on Chat Room at the top left column in Other Areas, and it took awhile to load, but seemed to work, I liked the nice welcome voice. ;D

Alady,
It's a Java chatroom which means you need to download and install the Java software here:
http://www.java.com/en/
Click on the 'Java Software Free Download' bit and it will take you to another screen where you can start the download. Once that is all installed you should be able to use the chatroom okay..
The downloaded software is distributed by Sun Microsystems. It is safe and I always have this installed on my PC's because a lot of sites have Java content on them that need this to be installed so you can access things like chatrooms etc.
Let me know if you need any more help :) .
I've looked at a lot of chatroom software and I think this is one of the better ones, I may try out a few more, possibly without needing the java download. Depends on how well this works for everyone...Ideally I would like one that can show who is in the chatroom on the forum somehow, but have yet to find one.
