I've uploaded a new theme made by Crip at Tiny Portal. It's a light theme and looks really smart in my opinion. Here's a screenshot I took today.
If you want to use it then go to your Profile-->Look and layout preferences-->then click 'change' and select the one you want.
I think this would make a great default theme - what are your thoughts please ?

Cool, yeah I think I am going to make this the default, it's so nice and clear. I'll see if anyone else has something to say. Either way, people can always choose the dark themes from their profile.
And yeah, while I am at it - where have you been hiding ?? ;)

I think it would be an improvement. I can't qualify it, I just like it better. Maybe it's my personal taste.

Ok guys, thanks for the input. I have gone ahead and reset the default theme. I am afraid that will affect the few people who were using some of the other themes. So if you don't like this new one then please go into your profile and select the one you do like. Sorry for that inconvenience but I couldn't get around it any other way.

Sorry Freddy...been busy wiring my basement and automating my home but yes, I really think the new theme is...smarter, refined or more "polished" then the others. Like it heaps!!

Automating your home ? Ahh now we have a team member with 'hands on' experience, we might have to tap into that ;)

I just want to apologise to all those people out there using 1024 x768 screen resolution. I am somewhat spoilt because I have a large screen here and hadn't noticed that on the smaller resolution the forum was all messed up with the new theme.
I've spent the morning tweaking things so we don't have these display issues. As far as I can tell it should be okay in 1024 now. We don't do 800, sorry !
Let me know if you spot anything still amiss.
And to think I was going to be on holiday this week too...

It is a somewhat smaller screen resolution especially to those of us who use 1280 X 1024 and larger. Sometimes we all have to be flexible in order to accommodate others.
How's the DG story progressing? (can we say thorn in side? Nudge...nudge...:))/

Hey come on Art...humour...I went years before i got my hands on a spiffy screen hehe :)
And coming good, just in Poser at mo doing some gfx stuff as a distraction...won't be long :)

Wow. I guess I'm just lucky that I recently adopted the 1280x1024 resolution. I used to run at my monitors default of 1024x768, but I recently bought a new graphics card capable of running games well at higher resolutions so I figure I might as well make that my default display resolution.

Yes, it's nice having a big screen. There's still a heck of a lot of people on 1024 and even a few on 800 x 600. Like all things as technology gets cheaper we move on, but there is a significant enough amount of 1024 users so I had to do something...
Even odder, I saw from the logs that someone was even using IE 2...

A lot of recommendations are directly proportional to the monitor size...NOT the memory or speed of a graphics card. Those things are mainly for pixels color and speed not text.
Also as one's eyes get older the larger resolution with the "tiny" text becomes horridly readable without glasses. If my father had his way he'd be using 640 X 480 on his widescreen Dell!! Actually he could but then his icons would become huge and it would throw all the rest in a kilter!
Mav / Freddy, I'm still using my "OLD" Viewsonic 19" CRT. Sure, it takes up half of my desk but it STILL works and it has a great picture for doing graphics like with 3D and design apps whereas the LCD's are somewhat lacking in that area. That's why you won't usually see them in a CAD environment where detail / accuracy counts.
Perhaps one day...I'll turn this beast on and it'll go POW!!...blank screen!! 'Till then...well...you know...1280 X 1024.
