You Tube content.
« on: February 18, 2007, 05:18:29 pm »
Seeing all these videos on YouTube that people have been posting I wondered if you'd all like to see video's on this site:

I did a simple demo page here, let me know what you think :

http://aidreams.co.uk/forum/index.php?page=26

Sometimes it takes a while to load, try refreshing it if its a while, other times it comes straight up.

Pretty cool! If one does a search on other sites like www.break.com and www.metacafe.com for "robots" one can also find a lot of good videos.

One thing...does one necessarily have to obtain permission from one site in order to post it on another?
(Do you need permission?) What are the ramifications?

BTW, a popup window appeared that needed to be resized but the videos played fine!!
In the world of AI, it's the thought that counts!

From what I understand, you do not need permission from the site on which the video
was originally posted. But you would need to get permission from the author of the
video if an author is listed and contact info is provided.

Fist, YouTube encourages people to put the videos on their sites by putting links to the videos on the page. So it's ok. :)

And second, using firefox, I click on a video and I can't get any to play. YouTube ALWAYS plays well in Firefox on their site. IE7 worked fine.

That one with the rubic's cube ROCKED!!!!!! I want that robot! LOL!!!

That rubic's robot was wild wasn't it hehe.  OK, then I will add more videos as I come across them or when people post them, at the moment I can only support IE though as I don't know enough about other browser problems yet.  Thanks for the replies :)

I've added a new section on the menu for YouTube videos, come to think of it thats probably a good way to get peoples Haptek videos on display - Dusk, Nige and all, let me know if you upload anything to YouTube will ya?

So far I have done an Asimo page and also a graphics page showing a cool looking new face modeller I spotted while I was at the Alicebot main site.
