Click Me
« on: November 14, 2017, 01:16:59 pm »

Demo site: http://chatbot.altervista.org/clickme.svg

This Scalable Vector Graphics XML-based
image (once the avatar is clicked) updates
the text, "Click Me" to say "Thanks".

In short, this is a clickable SVG map.
When it is scaled, it does not pixelate.

The star is a back button to this thread.
It changes color when the mouse is over it.

Can you think of any ways to use this
interactivity in an avatar?

How good is SVG support in different
web browsers and mobile devices?

Cool.

There is a thin horizontal line through the image that 'thickens' when the mouse pointer enters the images perimeter, also the star does not appear on the web page view.

Perhaps a new bbcode needs to be defined for SVG images,
which uses object tags instead of img tags.  (See Example).
But maybe only for use by trusted members.  It may not be
a good idea for public use.

I updated the post to separate the link from the image in the bbcode to get rid of the line.
If you right click and view image, you will see the image location (with the star).
Besides, that there may be a cache related bug regarding SVG images.

Your feedback is confirmed.  Thanks.

Example:  ( For discussion purposes only )
Code
[svg]{URL}[/svg]
Code
<object data="{URL}" type="image/svg+xml">
<embed src="{URL}" type="image/svg+xml" />
</object>
