Thanks 8pla.net
Glad you're enjoying the stream :)

Wow, I didn't know Mitsuku changed her name. I needed a little motivation to work on a chatbot engine of my own, and decided to talk to Mitsuku. I landed on the "Kuki" wikipedia page, which says "formerly known as Mitsuku". Apparently, her appearance changed too. I'm going to have a nice chat.
:)
Nice. She forgot we were playing tic-tac-toe, but it's been a pleasant talk.
-
the thing is the kuki chatbot would have
failed the turing test easily.
here is a test i did.
somethings i would like to keep between
me and caroline
what?

Thanks for the feedback. I improve Kuki as a direct result of user conversations and so I appreciate you taking the time to talk with her.
Unfortunately, I fear I too would have failed the Turing test here, as I'm unsure what you were expecting Kuki to say.
You said that you would like to keep things between you and Caroline. Kuki replies by asking what things would you keep.
If you could tell me what you would have expected Kuki to say, I can add a rule so that she can cope with this next time someone asks her a similar question.
-
here is another demonstration.
me=somethings are cold.
kuki=what?
me=somethings are hot
kuki=what?
me=somethings are beautiful
kukiwhat?
me=somethings are ugly
kuki=what?
you get what i mean.
you know what would be great?
if kuki asked certain questions once per session.
-
Chattable, why don't you try saying "some things" instead of "somethings" (which isn't a valid word as far as I know, and might be easily confused with the singular "something").
And then I think that "Which things?" would be a more illuminating response for Kuki.
-
okay i will try it.
kuki needs to remember what it says to me and not say it again unless i asked.
if i ask her again she should say i already told you remember.do you still want to know?

Ah I didn't even spot that. Yes, "somethings" isn't a word. Kuki won't know what you mean.
I tried, "some things i would like to keep between me and caroline" and Kuki responded with, "Which things in particular?"

That's great feedback. Do you have an example of where she did this so I can correct it?
-
do you know what i meant?
-
do you know what i meant?
Unfortunately not. That's why it would be helpful for you to show me an example if possible.
-
That's great feedback. Do you have an example of where she did this so I can correct it?
kuki repeats this when she has already told me before.
kuki=my star sign is capricorn.what is your sign?
kuki=my favourite movie is terminator.
do you know what i meant?
this what kuki could have said
me=some things are hot
kuki=jalpenos are hot
me=some things are cold
kuki=ice cream is cold
me=some things beautiful
kuki=wild flowers are beautiful
you could provide a randomly selected answer for each one of these that answer the question
-
Thank you. Can you tell me what you said immediately prior to her saying that? She should only repeat a question if you haven't answered her.
Actually, I'll take a look for your log as there are hopefully not many with "me and caroline" in it.
*EDIT*
When she asked you your star sign, you said, "i don't have one". Kuki knows this is incorrect and so will ask you again after a few more interactions.
You were asking about zombie movies, so she was telling you about her favorite movie (Terminator). I could only see one entry for this.
I see you have had over 550 interactions with Kuki and she appears to have answered you correctly in all but a very small number of cases. Please remember that no chatbot is perfect and will be able to correctly respond to you 100% of the time but your feedback is useful, as I can amend "somethings" to mean "some things".
If you have any further feedback, it would be great if you could post it in the feedback channel on Kuki's Discord server: https://discord.gg/mn5A5AtsJb as it wil lallow you to post screenshots too.

Thanks but those are statements rather than questions. Kuki will reply, "Which things in particular?" to them, which should hopefully encourage the visitor to tell her something that is hot/cold etc
I tried phrasing your messages as questions and all appears to be working okay.
me=name something cold
Kuki=An ice cream.
me=name something hot
Kuki=A fire.
me=name something beautiful
Kuki=Me!
me=name something ugly
Kuki=Yo mama.

is kuki's discord free? do i have to register on discord?

is kuki's discord free? do i have to register on discord?
I think you just make up a username to join but it's free and you can communicate with other Kuki users there to give feedback.
I've attached an example of Kuki learning about something hot and changing her default response to match what the visitor has told her. Hope that gives a better idea of what I mean.

i am glad she can learn things.the replika chatbot cannot.

i am glad she can learn things.the replika chatbot cannot.
Thanks. Yes I saw on a Replika forum that it took someone 3 months to try and teach Replika what his eye colour was! Any decent bot should learn straight away with the user saying something like "My eyes are blue".
-
the replika chatbot pretty good to flirt with.
-
i cannot sign back into my discord account without a phone number.
i did not provide a phone number.
i cannot provide any feedback on kuki because of this.
-
that is okay it is fixed.
-

what?
Kuki passed the test. The "What?" response is correct. Please note "Somethings" is not a word, according to a simple Google search for "Is somethings a word?" However, this test by charitable is very useful feedback. There must be other cases like this, which gives me some ideas for training an AI. Good work, chattable!
Thank you.
-
don't mention it?
i like ai chatbots that seem to have common sense instead of the normal dumb ones.

me = is a cat a cat
kuki = an animal with 4 legs that says meow and likes to drink milk.
me = is a dog a dog
kuki = Dog:Domesticated animal, "man's best friend."
me = is a frog a dog
kuki = any of various tailess stout-bodied amphibians with long hind limbs for leaping; semiaquatic and terrestrial species.
these are wrong answers for my questions.
-
Kuki is designed for humanlike conversational AI. This works both ways. If you asked me, "Is a frog a dog?", I would think you were crazy.
I'm happy with these responses. Kuki believes you appear to be having trouble understaing what a cat, dog and a frog are and so she explains these words to you.

This is interesting.
Pseudo code: match. IS A 1. _______ A 2._______. ( fill in fields 1 and 2)
AIML pattern: IS A * A *
if star1 equals star2 then
print start1 is the same as star2
else
print star1 is different than star2
NOTES:
"AN" or "THE" are not addressed in the pseudo code.
Matching synonyms or WordNet can extend this.
Such as: is a frog an amphibian
Hey chattable, what other ways to trip up an AI have you found?
The more an AI can handle, the more convincing it is. Good work.
@Squarebear. What is the AIML for this?
-
@Squarebear. What is the AIML for this?
Kuki can handle "is x the same as y" but the AIML category to handle your psuedo code is this:
<category>
<pattern>IS A * A *</pattern>
<template>
<think><set var="star1"><star/></set></think>
<condition var="star1">
<li><value><star index="2"/></value><star/> is the same as <star index="2"/></li>
<li><star/> is different than <star index="2"/></li>
</condition>
</template>
</category>

here are some more 8pla.net.
me = can a frog sing
kuki = some of them can.
me = can a write a write
kuki = some of them can.
me = can a dog cook
kuki = some of them can.
default answers are great.
it is good to update them to a better answer latter on if you can.
maybe you can make a chatbot better than kuki.
-
here is another way to trip up a ai 8pla.net.
me = would a frog eat a frog?
kuki = yes.
me = would a dog eat a dog?
kuki = yes.
me = why would a dog eat a dog?
kuki = it is my fundamental purpose.
me = can fire drown
kuki = i think a fire burns things so maybe it can.
me = can water drown
kuki = well a water flows in a river so i guess it could if it wanted to.
i make chatbots on personalityforge websight. now their chatbots can learns things about people.
i think this is fun.

Squarebear has one of the best, if not the best, in the world,
and he is always very helpful which is much appreciated.
Thank you chattable! Your chatbot test data is useful for training, Wow!
Also, thanks so much for recommending Personality Forge.
Good work, finding that list.

Thanks for the kind words 8pla :)

thankyou 8pla.net
