Nice avatars / characters
« on: August 25, 2009, 02:54:56 am »
Just came across this site and thought the character to be quite good.

Check out:

Looks like someone is going to give Guile3D a run for his money!?
In the world of AI, it's the thought that counts!

Yeah I think they could easily give him a run for his money.  It makes Haptek characters look like antiques...

Nice to see someone finally using modern graphics card technology to create a higher quality character.

Dear Art! it is more and more realistic! What a nice quality of product! I so much like to know create a realistic virtual human! I remember research by freddy, with an almost real human! it is unconvincing! I admire the engineers!! Bravo! it is very captivating. 8)

But the evolution of products go very quickly, soon perhaps that television will be programmed with human beings virtual, I remember annihilator, and a lot of scifi, new technology comes, of some scifi, the virtual perhaps will take realistic form in can of time, to see an almost human woman, Japanese archetype. :o

The faces look stunning indeed, almost captivating. The clothing on some of the images is still a give-away though, to bad. I wonder how they got those faces so life like, would they be purely drawn or captured from an existing person?

Yes, I think for the past few years at least all the emphasis has been on the actual person rather than items such as clothing.

I think a lot of it is done by the clever use of shaders and texture maps - bump mapping etc.  Also the key factor is often lighting and the way it interacts with the subject. All very fascinating and pretty amazing really.

I think that the study of the grimacing face of haptek, can evolved towards entire programming, of movements natural, rest has it, that haptek, indeed seem studied by other possibilities.
