Title: Anyone using Tapatalk here?
Post by: Freddy on February 29, 2020, 09:18:37 pm
It's been a while since I updated the plugin that converts the forum to the Tapatalk mobile service. I'm not sure if it's really needed anymore.

So I am just wondering if anyone is using that to access the site. I did do a bit of work on getting the site more mobile friendly natively rather than through a third party.

I don't know what others think about this but i guess it is not necessary.

Tried it once...it wasn't for me. So...no thanks.

Nor I. Your website is fine just the way it is, right here in a web browser.

Many thanks for all your hard work keeping it running so well all these years.

I did do a bit of work on getting the site more mobile friendly natively rather than through a third party.

I added a viewport META tag to my sites a few months ago under threat of Google penalizing my search results if I failed to do so.

Mine is slightly different than yours though. Here's mine:

<meta name="viewport" content="width=device-width, user-scalable=yes" />

Here's yours:

<meta name="viewport" content="width=device-width, initial-scale=1" />

I don't have a smartphone and have only seen mine on a couple different mobile devices, but both looked right and were scalable. I can't see yours on one to tell if it makes a difference or not.
