Over the past few days I've been noticing problems posting to the forum. Characters typed in a new message were not being echoed until some time had elapsed. I disabled my Chrome extensions but that didn't fix the problem. Today I noticed a message in the top bar saying that the website was trying to load unauthorized scripts so I reported it to Freddy. He said he had noticed the same problem too. He is scanning the website for viruses and asked me to make a test post using Firefox for comparison.
I am happy to report that this post is being made using Firefox and I'm not experiencing any problems at all, so it is presumably a bug related to Chrome after all. Has anyone else noticed any issues making posts? If so, please post here or PM Freddy about it. Thanks.

Thanks Infurl O0
I can confirm that the virus scan turned up nothing - so yes it appears to be something Chrome introduced, although at this time I don't know what.
I'll keep looking into it.

My chrome is fine by the looks of it.

happened to me too.

Trying Chrome again. It seems to be working fine now. No extremely long delays before characters are echoed.
-
Just to add my observation that FireFox seems to be unaffected by whatever issue happened/is happening.

I am still getting some lag when typing a reply today in Chrome.
It's been reported by a few people over on the forum software website, so fingers crossed on a solution soon.

Yes I've been getting it again today too. Yesterday was ok.

Okay I was getting it bad earlier today - very long lags.
But then I updated Chrome (had thought it was automatic) by going to the Help -> About Google Crome tab from the menu of Chrome.
After it relaunched the lag has gone totally and things are back to how they used to be.
So if anyone is still getting the lag try the update and see if that helps.

I looked and there doesn't seem to be an update option any more... until I went to the Help -> About Google Chrome page and found it on there. I had automatic updates turned on, but it decided there was an update to install anyway, and it made me restart Chrome. No issues at all typing this, so here's hoping the problem is fixed now.
