What did Garry Kasparov do after he was defeated by Deep Blue in 1997? He invented the game of Centaur Chess which is played by teams which are half human and half artificial intelligence. Nowadays anyone can download a chess playing program that's better than Deep Blue was and these programs can easily beat all human players. However, only a team composed of a human player and a computer player can beat all computer players. Now that's interesting.

I'm a horrible chess player and a friend of mine used to beat me in 3-4 moves, or not far from it. My mind just doesn't work that way.

It works like Othello, or Reversi.

Zebra Othello was the strongest game going when I used to play and could beat that on a regular basis. That's how people cheated at Yahoo online Othello. They would enter your move into the game as their, then use its move as theirs. That didn't work with me and I went there just to beat them at their own game.  :D

Wikipedia lists three newer programs that are supposed to be stronger but it's been years since I've played.
In time, you will learn to love your Robot Overlords.

I once invented Advanced Checkers where you grow TALLER and can go back to the other side to grow taller (where u began) and can do more and go into underground space:

I also was starting to design a board that would have hoards of tokens like Chess but ex. 100, and it's be a much longer game:
0. The name of the game is: Advanced Divineties

1. The board is a black solid board that is either glossy or flat-no gloss and 32 squares by 32 and outside 8 squares-4 at corners and 4 in middles. The bigger squares at the corners and middles are 2 by 2 squares. The outer rim around the board is equivalent to 4 squares around the playing field. Each squares dimensions are x-0.450 y-0.450 and z-0.050, between each square should be 0.0850, the hight of the squares is a bit more, and the boards hight is 4 times the hight of the squares. The game is 2 player.

2. There are 10 different pieces and each of the two players control 131 pieces each and have to eliminate each others to none left by going on to a opponents pieces square. Your pieces start at your side up to 4 rows and the three big pieces at the back, 2 pyramids on sides and square in the middle. All pieces are black and other is dark red.

3. The ten pieces are:
   1. 32 squares.
   2. 24 pyramids.
   [the rest are complex]
   9. 2 big pyramids.
   10. 1 big square.

   1. squares can move + only and 1 space.
   2. pyramids can move x only and 1 space.
   3. [] can move + x only and one space.
   4. [] can move + only and infinite spaces.
   5. [] can move x only and infinite spaces.
   6. [] can move + x only and infinite spaces.
   7. [] can move to the space diagonal and one left or right to it.
   8. [] same as (7) but infinite amount of spaces.
   9. big pyramids can move and can move not only their body length but also half-1 space.
   10. big squares can move and can move not only their body length but also half-1 space.

4. When modulating pieces you can do it to your or your opponents pieces [maybe, maybe not]

5. With your big pyramids and squares you can go to the middle or opponents big field squares and the following combinations give you different things.

6. 1. 1 big pyramid in a middle side square.
    2. 1 big square in a middle side square.
    3. 2 big pyramids in both middle.
    4. 1 big pyramid in your opponents corner squares.
    5. 1 big square in your opponents corner squares.
    6. 1 big pyramid in your opponents middle square.
    7. 1 big square in your opponents middle square.
    8. 2 big pyramids in both your opponents corner squares.
    9. 2 big pyramids in both your opponents corner squares and 1 big square in your opponents middle square.
    10. 1 big pyramid in the middle and 1 card put back to the cards.
    11. 1 big square in the middle and 1 card put back to the cards.
    12. completing all configurations gives you something even more special.

    1. can move one of your or your opponents small pieces 1 extra space besides your turn once.
    2. can eliminate either one of your or your opponents small pieces once.
    3. can bring back either one of your or your opponents small pieces once.
    4. can make any piece teleport to an open space once.
    5. can go over past one piece in the way of your line path-must have at least two move spaces for your turn to do so.
    6. any small piece can now go on and all around the big squares one at a time.
    7. any big piece can now go on and all around the big squares one at a time.
    8. can pick a line of 32 across to eliminate any pieces on those open spaces once.
    9. can pick a line of 32 across to bring back any pieces on those open spaces once.
    10. all pieces can now move two times-1 card.

7. There are 100 cards and if all are collected you have the ability to eliminate any pieces you want that you go over on your turn.

8. Doing all combinations in order lets you get back one of each kind of piece.

9. The card slates for each combination will each look like: All black and either glossy or not and with probably symbols in dark red.

10. The cards can also at any time be exchanged back to the cards to upgrade any piece.
