Someone has finally invented something that may make quantum computers practical and even useful in our lifetimes.

To date, all the claims made about achieving quantum supremacy have been just so much rubbish.

Even more good news about quantum computing. This time it's a mathematical innovation which will allow much bigger quantum computers to be simulated on classical computers so that future quantum computers will be easier to design. There is an interesting parallel to the design of aircraft before and after the availability of digital computers.
