I've heard about this type of thing way back when I used to have a Second Live account. The folks there knew there were some who could make "dangerous scripts". The inhabitants I spoke with thought that SL's policy at the time was to just catch runaway scripts and stop them, but not do much else. Though I think they are taking a tougher stance since then on these types of things.

It's a shame they have to temporarily shut down. I think they had to do that once before.

I briefly had an account there, but don't have the time to mess with it, too busy messing with other stuff :grin

I occasionally play in one of the less involved games, Runescape, but again, don't have time to do much.

I don't have an account at SL either anymore. I was going to rejoin when I had more time but between work and school, I just don't have the time.

I do have a Club Pogo account at Pogo.Com and enjoy those games several times a month at best. Those are relaxing and easy to do, and if you want you can either play with the chat off and not be bothered or turn on chat and converse with others.

It's a nice place. And no real need to keep logging in for "SL dollars" or whatever. Though if you don't keep up with the weekly challenges you can get behind in the badges. But I don't worry too much abou that. I just play for fun. :)

I keep threatening to make a game that both parents and children can play online, where people actually play -with- each other instead of -against- each other.

Of course, all I need to get before I start ... is an idea, the time and skill to make it, the server, and about 99% more enthusiasm than I now have for the project...

But if I did, it would be cool, I swear!  :uglystupid2
