LOL Claude, always a question of money. Unless you plan to sell your characters to SLers; the good ones are expensive (the characters, not the SLers). But all that is for fun, SL is fun, only fun (L$ or not).

You're right, don't waste your time, don't change anything. Your movies are so special and so entertaining. O0 O0 O0

GAME BOOSTER

Despite some bad events that happened in my real life, I have not abandoned Second Life. My secret garden. ;)
I continue to pay Linden Lab for the places I have created. A pity to delete all that. I'm happy to see that many old friends (and new members) still go there. Don't laugh at me, of course my netbook (Windows 7) is less powerful than my antique desktop under XP. But with the low settings I use, it works perfectly for me.

A long time I wanted to try "Game Booster". When you launch the software, you can see a list of the games installed on the PC, SL included (lol, of course SL isn't a game). I'm a little disappointed. The movie playing in every place starts faster. Good, but no real difference in the frame rates. Game Booster is supposed to get rid of everything useless for the game.

Or maybe, before I launched Game Booster, my modest netbook was a model of opmization? :2funny:

Update: today the framerate seems (just a little) better...

I never trust any program that says it will boost performance. Usually they make things worse in my experience and I am very wary of 'free' software these days. Not that I buy much new software, I'm still using Photoshop Elements 7, it's perfectly fine for the things I do.

How much time do you spend in SL now GT40 ?

Also did they update the graphics much since say 2-3 years ago ?

Hi Freddy! The way I use Second Life for now is very different (like my real life). Different but always fun.
Of course I spend most of the time to check and manage my dear old "kingdom".

I don't worry if SL has been improved or not. I have a minimalist computer. And Singularity is the perfect viewer for that.
I know that, nowadays, a netbook (under Windows 7) is a non-politically correct thing but at least it works fine for me.
So I don't need any another PC but maybe I will buy a true laptop soon (to try Windows 8.1...). ;D

About Game Booster, the framerate is increased with it (just a little bit).
I don't know if the difference is better with a strong PC. The software stops all the useless processes before launching SL.
And they return to normal when SL stops.

BTW Freddy, congrats for the new look of AI Dreams. O0

I suspect there's a lot of useless processes on newer machines. I turned Windows 7 Aero theme off totally because my PC was telling me it was slowing games down - so I don't use that now - all it adds is slightly see-through borders. Totally useless really and not worth slowing your PC down for.

I suspect with a 'stronger PC' it would be more about the graphics card..

Glad you like the changes and thanks for your kind words :)

LOL, yeah that's funny that nag screen about Aero  ;D

Aero has no effect on a gaming PC, it might on a low end netbook or laptop though.

Still with your WEI score there Freddy, yeah you might as well turn it off, your PC must be struggling to do it  :D

I'm afraid that Aero isn't available in my Windows 7 Starter.

Is it important? Am I really disabled?  ;D

No sorry you cannot  ;D

It does look nice but it's not really useful and after you have seen it for a few years I find I don't really miss it.

Come to think of it, it's only recently it kept nagging me so it must have been some update...

Anyway, goodbye Aero.

NO...say it isn't so! I love Aroe or areo or aero...yeah...That's the one...Aero...it totally changed my life and the way I interacted with my computer.

Why I could sit and watch those transparent top bar thingies for...I dunno...hours...I think...I'm still staring at them and if I ever do, they're fun to watch when I move them...which isn't often...but it is fun!!

I love this arrow thing....u wil 2

In the world of AI, it's the thought that counts!
