A little more information would be nice.

I presume you mean the Twitter Page?

It says 'This accounts tweets are protected' and I have to apply to learn anything about it.

8pla.net was ousted on the Robitron List by
secret vote.  Over the protests of advocates
of 8pla.net.

The suppressionists had more votes. And,
have remained in the shadows ever since.

While Robitron lives on, the List is gone.
So, the time has come, for the first time,
to discover the suppressionists.

Ok… I don’t mean to be picky but that told me absolutely nothing I didn’t already glean from the original post.

WTF is Robitron? Is it a forum, member’s area, secret society, play group…? Does everyone have a vote button? Is there no admin? Is it run by this Robby Glen who sticks TRUST & OBEY stickers on his keyboards?  Why is so important that you need to be on this list? What are the disadvantages of not being on the list?  Why is the list now gone? I thought you were just voted off this list… surely if the list has gone then everyone is off.

Why have you posted for information on this forum? Where there members on this list from here? Why don’t I know about this special exclusive club/ list? Why wasn't I invited... I like lists.

Is it because I’m not ‘special’ enough?

Nevermind… I don’t need friends… I’ve got me.

Robitron, founded by Robby Garner, was a very active discussion group formerly at url:  http://groups.yahoo.com/group/Robitron.  It worked by Robitron group members emailing the list.   If you weren't a group member, you could not see the list. With so many PhDs, and other highly talented computer programmers, in the group, all sorts of interesting, quality Artificial Intelligence discussion threads took place there. Many of the Loebner prize winners frequented there, such as Dr. Richard Wallace, Robby Garner, Rollo Carpenter, Mohan Embar and many more. The list is long. Not to mention, other noteworthy people hung out there too, such as Dr. Hugh Loebner, Dr. Huma Shah, Dr. David Hamill (Robitron moderator), Erwin van Lun (chatbots.org founder) and many more.

8pla.net was ousted on the Robitron List by secret vote.

If voting was done by secret ballot who are you expecting a confidential informant to have the ability to inform on?

Themselves?

Gosh, was it something you said? How long ago was that and does it really matter now?

Perhaps you or others simply didn't meet their criteria at the time or it could have simply been an oversight.

I was a frequenter of Robitron many, many years back as well as a friend and supporter of Robby. Robby designed several chatbots, Fred and Albert are two that come to mind, through that thick, soupy cranial fluid between my ears. While the bots relied more on some verbal trickery and cleverness, they did fare well for their time.

He also had done a lot of experimenting with digital music of all kinds and was involved in a group called, Flux Oersted (I think the spelling is OK).

Robby was always good-natured and supportive so no problems there. I do not recall voting for nor against you nor do I recall a Blackball List.

Perhaps you should ask Robby about it? He's a member here. O0 In fact, if you feel slighted or singled out why not simply contact Robby first instead of publically posting a Confidential Informant hunt?

You'll get more direct results by going to the source first instead of hanging out the laundry that should have been dried by now. - Good luck! -

Well, Personality Forge bots used to compete and do well in the Chatterbox Challenge but apparently aren't allowed to compete in "other" online bot contests for some unknown reason to me and I want to know why.

Please post any information you may be privileged to as to who voted us out of competition.
