Go to metacafe or youtube and type into the search box, Artificial Intelligence.

There's a lot of very interesting articles and videos detailing some of the latest
advances in AI, robotics, man / cyborgs, machine learning, etc.

One site that presents some interesting vids is Hulu. You can find a video series
on AI as it relates to the human robot condition. Moral, ethical, social, personal,
behavioral values and acceptance or lack of. Whether they will build better bots
than themselves, help us or destroy us.

Very interesting viewing by some very learned scientists, programmers and speakers.

There are no links here only an invite to search for yourselves.

I have a problem with videos about a.i. Videos require a relatively large investment of time compared to a document. Now I'm sure there are very informative and useful videos about artificial intelligence out there. However, the advantage of a document is that a person who is considering investing his or her time in reading it can skim through it and make a relatively accurate preliminary evaluation as to whether or not the document is worth reading. However, that is not the case with a video. Sure, you might skip around in it, but seeing as most videos flow as a conversation rather than a document, you'll still have to watch the video a minute or more to understand what is being talked about at that specific point. I wish that video produces or publishers, especially those videos associated with scientific endeavors, would publish a script or transcript of the video with it.

Irh9,
Do you require everything in writing? This can be as elusive, and directional as any video... :)

lrh9,

That is simply because if a picture is worth a thousand words then it stand that a video is say 10 million.

I like to be able to see the creations in a video and how they interact or what design flaws the robots, for instance, might have.

While reading is great for relaxation and enjoyment IMHO, videos tend to be instructional in nature simply because they ARE visual. Studies have shown that the majority of people are Visual learners.

The military, over the years, has created tens of thousands of instructional videos that have provided instruction in a variety of disciplines.

So, read if you choose but there would be no Youtube no Metacafe, etc. if they didn't have videos.

To each their own...
