Title: Combined Dedicated Modules
Post by: HS on August 08, 2019, 08:09:36 am
There should be many useful advantages to working with electronics instead of biology. The trick is  being open minded enough to notice them. For example, my brother routinely does amazing things with household objects, just because he doesn’t yet know what some of those things “are”. There is no reason why a robot’s brain has to be in one place, or even in its body. You could have separate systems working together, sensory inputs, automatic movement, directed movement, future environmental simulation. All these skills tended to by many computers, each dedicated to one thing. It would help to speed things up because it would be somewhat parallel. While you’re at it you might as well have a backup for each module to increase reliability. The idea is like yotamarker’s  but with hardware modules that could be added to a pre-existing platform in order to increase your robot’s skills.

Now you got it, artificial brainz! Hammers beat fists!

An AI algorithm can duplicate and be in 2 different places at once - same person, now 2 of them!! Divide & Conquer!!

Ive got my 4 main modules down,   power, actuators, eye, brain.

the brain is further decomposed into  computer vision, cat cycle, physics search and agent predictor.

My first bot is going to be deaf, and have no language model, but its similar to the agent predictor if I added it.

Electricitys main benefit over mechanical is the hz it can achieve,  but I wonder if im wrong!   And mechanical can hz really fast too,  just look at a flys wing, it beats 2000 times a second!  unbelievable.

But if you make your system electrical, it means that you have to have metal in your design,   but I wonder if there is ways around this,  charcoal conducts electricity like a low ohm resistor, there could be options,  don't close your mind to opportunities, everything is an unknown.
