"There are about 50-100 members of the AI Alignment Forum, and while the number will grow, it will grow rarely and slowly."

They say you can "get in" by the LessWrong.com website LOL.

"If you’re a regular contributor on LessWrong and want to point us to some of your best work, or if perhaps you’re a full-time researcher in an adjacent field and would like to participate in the Forum research discussion, you’re welcome to use that to let us know who you are and what research you have done."

AHAHAHAHA!!!! OMG THIS has gotta be what 8pla was talking about lolz lmao !!!!

"How do new members get added to the Forum?"

"the onboarding of new members and the opportunity for new potential researchers to prove themselves"

"participants can get noticed and rewarded for their contributions."

I'll see you there if you are 'chosen'.

Thanks for this notification of a new forum, Locksuit.
I had to look up "the alignment problem" since I'd never heard of it before. Here is what I found:

Quote
The ‘value alignment problem’ is the problem of ensuring, if an AGI ever did develop enough intelligence to have power over the human race, that it does with the human race what we would like it to.
https://www.quora.com/What-is-the-value-alignment-problem-in-artificial-general-intelligence

I've tried repeatedly to get interested in the site Less Wrong for many years...

https://www.lesswrong.com/

...but just can't get interested in their focus, and the huge amount of previous posts on many topics is too much for anyone with limited time (such as myself) to tackle, therefore I can't ever hope to add anything informative to their discussions. I also never see Less Wrong listed in any posted lists of AI sites, so it seems that their site isn't generally regarded as an AI site. Now that they've added elitism when creating their new forum, it looks like I am even less interested than before.  :(

Lock,

As much as you like drawings and to draw pictures of your ideas, I think you'd be a perfect fit for inclusion as a member there. They need some creative thinkers like yourself. Give it a shot.

It's almost like Mensa only not quite as cavalier in their attitude or approach.  O0
In the world of AI, it's the thought that counts!

Here's the thing, there is a lot of types of ANNs, etc, you not supposed to see it ALL, your not god, I myself will just see a bit of them, and tell them what I found/got. That simple. If they like me and my algorithm, great, if not, maybe another 2 years will show. Just be yourself lol.

A good example is right non the website lol....what IS this....this is very lengthy and does not contain important ideas, just newsletter talk that makes no sense or value to me lol. That's a ton of text....sheesh

My whole AGI/ASI master summary fits into a txt file THAT big !

Here's a summarizer I made that you can use to cut down on the text:
https://chrome.google.com/webstore/detail/summarize-the-internet/hiilcnldmlehobiillipbcdkhkfbigfk

"alignment" in this context refers to making friendly AI and avoiding robot apocalypses, crudely put.
CO2 retains heat. More CO2 in the air = hotter climate.

"Your user page is your very own LessWrong blog, where you can write about whatever you want. We're interested to know what ideas you've been thinking about lately!"

HehHeh, ^__^

"If you write a post that seems like a good fit for the frontpage, and you're happy for us to do so, then the admins or mods will move your post there. Once you've had a bunch of posts promoted to the front page, you'll be able to promote posts yourself."
