Defective method of intelligence
« on: June 21, 2022, 04:17:57 pm »
So given a model of artificial intelligence.  (For example AIXIA - the Brain child of Marcus Hutter.)
We need to actually see it in action and fully test what goes on,  because then we can see, have we created a man or a monster!
or the other problem,  is man ACTUALLY a monster?   Not sure.

But if someone ever got ai to work,  we could learn more about intelligence in general, for all things.

And totally defunct all of civilization as we know it.

And bore ourselves with our own obfuscatedness.   (Everything in plain sight, why not such a thrill anymore???)

Well, we can observe ourselves as a blueprint to see what methods of intelligence work best before trying to implement them on AI. Although I think humans are mostly alright, we might have a lot to gain by increasing the prioritization of adequate material functionality over more conceptual things. Many people don't have their basic needs met, and the main obstacles between that and the present state of the world often seem to involve unnecessary abstract ideas. Also, maybe a list of basic needs and the disparity of the opportunity for those needs between individuals might give us a basis for an opinion of ourselves and any future AI.

What I'm proposing.  (Or tried to propose.  :-[)   is the fact we should make ai to understand ourselves (or have more of a basic general gist, not the entire knowledge.) afterwards.

If someone ends up being able to do it,    what comes first chicken or egg?

Understanding ppl is one of the holy grails of thought,  so maybe if some arrogant nerd ends up being able to do it,   we could see all the pitfalls and problems the robot has,  especially if its so called "super artificial intelligence." and ends up with huge psychological flaws.

Ok, yeah I think I see what you're saying. Comparing ourselves to a sufficiently advanced AI should help us to discover some positives and negatives about ourselves, and the AI's logic, which we hadn't realized before.
