kiln people and nonhomolougous imprinting for AGI
« on: March 04, 2020, 08:28:47 pm »
david brins scifi book kiln people presents interesting AI beefup jutsus :

*******************************************************************************
no spoiler book review :

what I liked about this book is that it tries to answer "what is death"
showing the difference between dead and alive is the same as the dif between
you now and you a moment ago, that I am a replika of me a moment ago, we are not alive
nor dead therefore.

to accomplish this he uses kiln people, or clay bunshin jutsu tech scifi.
a based book overall.

*******************************************************************************

jutsus from the book :

logic : the AI can predict if something should be alive or not using logic
like when morisses house AI nell, assumed the green ditto shouldn't be alive, because over
24hours have passed since his initial bake, and dittos live 24 hours max.
said green frankie had to bridge an explanation to gain nells trust

death mode: risks not counted when sensing probable death such as short life span.
for example when clay dittos "play" at actual war.

homolougous imprinting - similar to a git merge : an AI branches in to 2 replica entities,
next after x amount of time the branched entity is compeled to merch its new experiences
and knowledge with the master AI.

nonhomolougous imprinting - done between AIs with a different skillset : an AIbot is branched
into a catbot AI with nightvision ability and meowing skills. imprinting will include only
common skillset data

***********************************************************************************

what do you think about the above mentioned jutsus, and how would you go about programming them ?
