This is a link to the "Learn AI Together" group of channels on Discord. Sign up to meet and hangout with other people from around the world who are studying and working in the field of artificial intelligence. There are channels for chatting, talking, video conferencing, and other forms of real-time collaboration. There are hundreds of members already ranging from high school students to academics and professionals.

Discord is a suite of servers and applications that are designed for real-time collaboration. It is similar to Slack in that it is productivity oriented. The mood is helpful and supportive. No trolls, egomaniacs, or crazies please.

Experiencing a frustrating loop on that platform, asking to claim a new account but then failing due to an existing account.  Thanks for the invite, this comment is not at you, so don't read it that way.  Rather, it is about frustration with this platform.

It worked fine for me. You might need to choose a different nickname from the one that you are trying to use. I'm assuming that you're not trying to use the same one that you use here. I sure didn't.

You say "hundreds of members", but until you posted the invite, there was only 195 members. Why do you say hundreds?

When was the group created? Who created it? Why does it say most members joined today?

Let me just reiterate, that I am not complaining about you.  This has happened on other invites in the past, and I was annoyed.  I think if I delete cookies, and then login, and then accept the invite, it may go through.  But, who wants to be bothered doing that, just to log in.

I may as well admit it, I dislike that platform.

You'd think something like that wouldn't be so hard to get right wouldn't you. Creating a new account or signing in to an old one is not something that typically goes wrong on any other website that I ever visited. It feels like I got lucky with Discord this time but I hope that the developers are paying attention and will fix these problems.

Just make sure there's not too many novices trashing up the place, it looks so neat at first but you may feel like giving up if you let go.

It's actually a good idea to give ourselves other fresh forums with different styles of communication. Try to improve on that and make it get us closer to understanding AGI.
